WFF: SPFB’s Cavaliers

LC May 30, 2011 0
First off, give us a quick summary of your chise up to this point.
The first post-LeBron season with my Cavaliers was a rough one, winning only 26 games. During the season though, I was able to trade players like Mo Williams and Antawn Jamison for young talent (Terrence Williams) and a first round pick that ended up being the number 1 overall selection. Right now I’m just about to start season number 2.
What made you choose this team?
Like was the case with my Bills franchise over in the NFL section, I enjoy controlling teams that are both a rebuilding project and have some sort of storyline to them that I can work with to make the franchise have some depth.
What’s your teams strengths and weaknesses?
We’ve got a lot of young talent with Williams, Hickson, and Sessions, then add to it my recent first round picks and I feel this team has a bright future. Unfortunately, we lack a real post presence as my best centers are Samuel Dalembert and Brad Miller.
Who is your favorite player on your team?
The funnest one to play with so far would have to be Terrence Williams. He’s just so fast and athletic out there. Add to the fact he’s a great defender and you’ve got yourself the complete package.
Who has been your best acquisition? (through sign/trade)
Probably Terrence Williams, but if Quinn Redd pans out to be a star then the trade to get the pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves might take the cake in the future.
Greatest moment in your chise so far
My favorite moment so far would have to be when I hit a turnaround jumper with Brad Miller to beat the Pistons at the buzzer.
What other chises do you follow on here?
There’s a lot of them, RecksJr’s Trent Maxwell story, DeeJay’s Raptors, Mike3′s Nuggets, mfbmike’s Nets, Crimsion’s Bulls, Iron Dragon’s Jazz, and many more, really most of the ones on the first page haha. On the NFL side I’ve been following Cheese’s 49ers franchise. A lot of great ones on this site really.
If you could improve/change one thing about DSS, what would it be?
The site is very well run, the only area that it could really use improvement is a larger membership base but that should come with time. I need to spend more time checking out the other sections of the board though.
Have any tips for other chisers?
Just keep pushing yourselves and stay creative. I love seeing all the different ideas people come up with for presentation, storylines, trades. It’s a lot of fun reading these franchise stories on a slow afternoon at the office.
