So, what options does an undocumented immigrant have when he’s about to be deported? Well, if you are between the ages of 15-30, you may qualify for a driver’s license and two years of legal stay in the USA thanks to the executive order called DACA passed by the Department of Homeland Security. The only catch? You have to have been living in the US before the age of 16, are under 31 years of age, must have a high school diploma or GED (or pursuing one), and have been in the country without leaving for the past five years.

Jose had all of these, therefore, qualified for legal stay. His only problem was proving it.

Thanks to his Xbox Live account, he had over 21 pages of downloads that date back to 2007 which included trailers, demos, avatars, themes, map packs, and UFC Undisputed roster packs.

They were exactly the proof that he needed!

Here’s his affidavit to the State of Wisconsin:

Amazing how sometimes the things you least expect, such as an Xbox Live account, can change your life dramatically. Kudos to his lawyer!
